Sweet Sounds On A Summer Afternoon

One of the lesser-known aspects of the Alley of Art show, which will be presented in conjunction with Walkabout: Theater on your Feet, is the music.

Each weekend, there will be a musical group featured outside at Du Page Court under the natural canopy of trees that shades the court.

It's a perfect setting for live music.

We wanted to do this to create a laid-back atmosphere as the artists make, display and sell their artwork to people finishing up the Theatre Walk.

• August 16 features The Rory Miller Band - an alternative-country, folk, rock quartet - and a finalist in the FameCast competition last year.
  
  
• August 23 features The Elgin Symphony Orchestra Quartet, playing an array a classical favorites.
  
  
• August 30 the third and final Saturday features the Ain't No Nothin' Jazz Band, a seven piece group orginating from Judson Univerity playing traditional jazz.

We'll being doing more in depth features about these groups as we get closer to Walkabout.
