New Stop on the Walkabout Has Italian Flair

Villa Verone, one of Elgin's newest and finest restaurants, is proud to be a new stop on this year's Walkabout. Located at 13 Douglas Avenue, this authentic Ristorante Italiano is a friend to the arts and the people who love them. You have only to stop in to Villa Verone on the night of a big show or concert at the Hemmens or Elgin Art Showcase to see hordes of happy audience members, eager to enjoy a great dinner before dashing off for curtain. On weekends, the restaurant becomes a place to enjoy the arts while you drink and dine via their Jazz Room, which features the best local musicians.

Owner Pietro, who can often be found at his restaurant greeting the guests, contributes to the friendly atmosphere. "There's nothing artificial about our place. The friendliness of my staff...their knowledge. It's not just about food...it's a total package. When you get out of here, you say, wow, we had a great meal, but we also had a great time."

After the Walkabout, be sure to return to Villa Verone for a lovely night out. You might just run into some of the actors doing the same!
