Are You Ready To Take A Walk?

It’s been a busy couple months, but in two weeks, Elgin’s downtown will be hosting the second annual Walkabout: Theater on your Feet.

This year we’re looking forward to seeing more people pound the pavement as they witness live theater in unconventional places.

Last year, we played in a pub, a book store, two cafes and a specialty shop. This year, we’ve added a park, a ballroom an Italian restaurant and two more stops.

We also plan on having some original plays commissioned for Walkabout, along with some musical groups and street musicians to help add a soundtrack to the whole event.

And let’s not forget the artists. Last year, we had 35 artists, ranging from photographers, painters and sculptures. This year, we hope to eclipse that number.

There is much to be excited about it. And in the coming days, we plan on writing about as much of it as we can, so keep checking back to this site for more information.
