Happily Never After?

Vex Theatre Company is so pleased to be back at Walkabout for a second year that they decided to write their own show! "Forever and Never," penned by Vex actors Debbi Dennison and Marc Jolley, catches up with Prince Charming and his Princess many years after their fairy tale wedding. A reporter named Walt has been invited to their castle by the Wicked Stepmother to write a story. Will he find a glass slipper or just alot of poisoned apples?

Says Vex co-founder Cathleen Ann, "We wanted a comedy with a little bite to it...characters people recognize in a story they wouldn't expect. Our authors, Marc and Debbi, both come from an improv background, so this show definitely captures the wild and crazy creativity people expect from improv." You can also catch Marc and Debbi acting in the show, along with Cheryl Rice and Geoffrey Maher.

Don't miss the World Premiere of this fractured fairy tale at the Villa Verone stop of this year's Walkabout. And if you like what you see, the folks at Vex hope you will come back to see their next full-length show, "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," opening in September at the Elgin Art Showcase.
